Defining the Problem
Having been university students, my team found that the most common complaints among our peers often revolved around money. We sought to understand the key contributors to this and provide an a service that would help to address it.
Key Findings
Money was a limited resource for students
Students frequently used money transfer apps
Students discounts were rarely used and hard to find
Building the Solution
We sought to create an application where students could easily find and use the Chops partnered deals around them and manage the cashback that they were earning on the platform.
Discovering Available Deals
It is essential for users to quickly search for and discover the deals that are available in their area. As such, users are given the option to view a list of nearby Chops partnered businesses or view them on a map.
Using the Deals
While paying for their items or meals, users present their digital membership card, which includes a scannable QR code and a member ID, depending on whichever the business accepts.
Managing Earned Cashback
The cash back that users accumulate from shopping and eating at partnered businesses is tracked in their waller. Here, users are able to view their current cash back balance, withdraw to external accounts, and view a list of their transactions.
